Important study of the philosophical writings of Hasdai Crescas, head of the Jewish community of Aragon in the later 14th century, major medieval Jewish philosopher, though later forgotten, who was intensely critical of Aristotle and Maimonides; he was a major influence on Spinoza. Study written by Meyer Waxman (1887–1969) , famed for his magnus opus 'History of Jewish Literature', who worked as principal of the Mizrachi Teachers Seminary (1917–21) and director of the Mizrachi Zionist organization (1921–24) during the time this study was published.
