Wanda Wasilewska was a well-known Polish communist and propagandist who worked closely with the Soviet Union during and after WWII. She was appointed as head of the Society of Polish Patriots by Joseph Stalin and was very active in the Soviet-sponsored Polish Committee of National Liberation, which supported Polish inclusion in the Soviet Union.
