144 pages (complete). A fascinating, lovely book even if in a somewhat shabby condition. Wood engravings by Frank Brangwyn. The great interest is that at the time of publication many of the scenes reproduced here by Brangwyn were being destroyed by the Great War. This is a glimpse of Belgium for a generation who will never know it as thus. The illustrations are poignant and detailed and evocative. The paper is hand-pressed. The cover, spine have wear. The pages have some foxing. But otherwise, this is a handsome book of great power to move the reader. fk. Book Condition: Poor. Binding: Hardcover.
