HAMILTON, William : Modern PoemsOxford: B.H Blackwell,, 1917
Very good indeed in the original 1/4 vellum, brown paper boards, spine darkened. With the ownership signature on the fep of Daphne de Waal, a well-known South African poet of the same period (some subsequent owner has drawn a thin line through De Waal's name, but it is still perfectly legible). Hamilton was one of the few South Africans who fought at Delville Wood to write any poetry of quality (This work was published while he was still in barracks in England). Scarce.
