Philadelphia: Printed and Sold by James Humphreys, 1809. 347 pp. 12mo. Contemporary leather binding is worn and scuffed overall, with some chipping at heel and crown. One board is detached; the other is nearly detached. Contemporary pencil and (some) ink notes intermittently throughout, including a couple of formulae. Paper quality is mostly good except for a couple of gatherings of inferior paper. Housed in a utilitarian grey cloth clamshell box with a leather spine label. Robert Hooper (1773-1835) was a successful London physician whose writings included works on botany, anatomy and epidemiology.
