Anna Hochfelder was also a lawyer and founded the American Alliance of Civil Service Women in 1912 (Thomas, Jewish Women’s Archive, 2009) . Includes excerpts by Rabbis Alexander Kohut and Isaac M. Wise, a poem by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, and an address on the golden rule by Hon. David J. Brewer, associate justice of the Supreme Court at the time. Includes (printed) letters from Henry Guttman, Master of William McKinley Lodge, Rabbi Joseph Silverman, and Rev. Dr. S MacAurthur, thanking the author for the book.
