It is printed here in its original Ge’ez, with a running Hebrew translation, a French translation, and with Arabic extracts. Jacques Faïtlovitch studied Ethiopian languages at the Sorbonne, visiting Ethiopia for the first time at the age of 23 in 1904 and dedicating the rest of his life to studying and improving the conditions of the Beta Israel.
