Title translates to “The People and The Land: A Special Anthology for the Study of Philosophy. ” Features articles by Yiddish literary giants such as Ben-Adir, Ba’al Mahshevos, Yosef Luria, etc. Edited by Shalit and devoted to philosophical and social enlightenment and to the critique of Zionism. Moshe Shalit (1855-1941) was a researcher, journalist, essayist, ethnographer, and humanist of the inter-war period. Shalit devoted himself to the promotion of Yiddish language and of literature in a spirit of openness and intercultural exchange.
