Al Avery (1894-1985) is the pseudonym of American author Rutherford George Montgomery. He also wrote under the pen names of A. A. Avery, Art Elder, E. P. Marshall, and Everitt Proctor. Avery is best-known for his works of children's literature. He wrote over 100 books in his career. Number 8 of the "Air Combat Stories for Boys." About an American pilot named Stan Wilson who joins the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II.
