Pages are clean and intact overall except for a few wrinkles, slight rippling, occasional offsetting, light to moderate foxing and staining throughout (text still readable), and minuscule chipping along spine (text is unaffected). A Very Good copy. A Christian tract containing a discussion of the Biblical "scapegoat," that is, the goat used as a sacrifice in the Old Testament to absolve one's sins. The purpose of the tract is to show that one's belief and faith in Jesus Christ replaces the need of the sacrificial goat. Although no author is named, this tract is attributed to James Blackwell of Dublin according to WorldCat. Tract No. 250 of the American Tract Society. The American Tract Society (ATS) is an evangelical organization that was founded in 1825 as the result of a merger between the New York Religious Tract Society (founded in 1812) and the New England Religious Tract Society (founded in 1814). Upon its founding, ATS became the first organization in the United States whose express mission was to hand out Christian tracts.
