SELLICK,PLYMOUTH.).Bright,tight and generally clean,publisher's original red cloth boards,with blocked black ink lined border edge and lettering,to upper board and spine/backstrip; with negligible shelf-wear,bumping,creasing to edges and corners. Minisculely bumped,with reciprocal creasing to both head+foot of spine/backstrip,which is also slightly dulled.Top edge lightly dust-soiled and darkened - as usual/normal - fore-edges brighter and cleaner and less affected; contents bright,tight and clean - virtually unfoxed - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners.UK,12mo HB minus dw/dj,4th edn,6-352pp [paginated] includes author preface,contents+ illustrations lists/tables,12 chapters,14 b/w illus from original sketches by Charles Whymper - all called for,a bibliography and an index; plus [unpaginated] b/w photographic frntis (the Mayflower Stone, Barbican,Plymouth) and title page.
