Original black-and-white publicity photograph showing a scene from the stage adaption of Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night. The characters of Edmund Tyrone (played by Robert Burke) and Jamie Tyrone (played by Andrew Prine) are shown conversing with one another. No date, circa 1977. 10" x 8." Printed description tipped in on back with two pieces of tape. Photo is virtually pristine and intact except for almost imperceptible discoloration on back. A Fine copy. Andrew Prine (b. 1936) is an American actor who has appeared in film and on stage and television. Long Day's Journey into Night is a tragic play that was written by American playwright Eugene O'Neill (1888-1953) from 1941-1942 and published in 1956. The work is semi-autobiographical and follows the lives and conflicts between members of the Tyrone family. Long Day's Journey into Night is considered by many critics to be O'Neill's magnum opus and it won the 1957 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Description on back: "(L. to R.)
