Complete. 79 steel-engraved plates complete from the excellent Tombleson. This copy has been subject to careless storage. It has much damp staining to the early and later pages. The cover is defiantly strong and firm and secure. It has a stately stoicism. The pages are trimmed in gilt that is lightly worn. Handmade paper. The pages are resolute, dignified, enchanting. They are firm against the vice-like binding. There is foxing throughout. The plates themselves are clean, clear and captivating. The tissue protection pages are crisp and tanned and are occasionally damaged. The views are usually serene and calming (as in the views from Maidenhead Bridge and towards Eton Brocas and Windsor Castle). A clubbable, secure, certain and nobly venerable book. fk.
