Undated however the book, published circa 1902, is covered in waxed cloth. The front cover is illustrated. Inside the front cover is a school (Crowthorne Towers) presentation label dated July 28th 1902. There is also a bookseller label (Hubert C. Turner, Reading. The covers are worn, scratched and marked from shelving and use. The front cover illustration is in fair condition (some of the colours are worn and faded). The spine edge of the front cover has two piercing impressions. There is a small black mark to the top left hand edge. The edges are shelf worn as are the corners. The back cover has many markings from storage and handling. There are a number of small impressions and small scratches. All edges have some wear as do the corners. The spine is firm. The head and the foot have pull wear and tear. General printing is clear. Inside the front cover the paper seam has a crack along the length of the spine. Front and back end papers and pages have age and storage discolouration. From the contents page onwards the pages are in very good, clean, clear condition. The paper trim edges are discoloured.
