Second edition (first was Collingwood 1907 and is very scarce). Dated 1911 on title page, this is the first book to feature Dr Thorndyke. The book is in poor condition - black titling on front cover is very faint, cloth is worn to spine ends, with webbing exposed on inside front cover. The covers are kept in place by only 2-3 inches of webbing on the front hinge. Previous owner's name on title page.
