Original black-and-white publicity photograph showing a film still from Surprise Package (1960), in which Mitzi Gaynor apprehensively looks forward holding something in her hands in a dimly lit interior filled with ornate relics and decor. Signed by Mitzi Gaynor in silver pen, "Love - Mitzi Gaynor." 10" x 8." "892" written in dark pencil or black crayon in upper-left corner on back. Photo is very clean and intact except for slight edge wear, slight age toning to front and back, and a few small wrinkles. A Very Good copy. The caption printed at the bottom of the photo reads, "Columbia Pictures presents A Stanley Donen Production, Yul Brynner, Mitzi Gaynor, Noel Coward in Surprise Package." Copyright information is printed to the right of the caption such as the copyright date of 1960 and permission being granted to newspapers and magazines. Stamped in black ink on back is the text, "From Theatre Advertising Co., 704 New Jersey Ave., N. W. Washington, D. C." Mitzi Gaynor (b. 1931) is an American actress, dancer, and singer. Gaynor worked with several movie studios including 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and Columbia Pictures. She starred in films such as There's No Show Like Show Business (1954), The Birds and the Bees (1956), and South Pacific (1958). Gaynor's performance in South Pacific earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. The movie, Surprise Package, is a musical comedy thriller about an American gangster exiled to a Greek island and a deposed king who plan to steal crown jewels.
