(JE) This is an extremely readable, even-handed, comprehensive, and even dryly humorous treatment of the three great religions, covering Bible and Torah, the prophets, Jewish mysticism, Hillel, Philo, and Josephus, and many, many other great thinkers-Jewish and non-Jewish-compared and contrasted.
