Many of them were first published in the great book, "From My Window" (1981), long out-of-print and rare. This posthumous volume presents the work in its entirety, supplemented with a luminous essay by Robert Gurbo. "After the death of his wife, Andre Kertesz consoled himself by taking up a new camera, the Polaroid SX-70. As with earlier equipment, he mastered the camera and produced a provocative body of work that both honored his wife and lifted him out of his depression.
