Original small broadside printed on beige paper. No date, circa 1913-1925. 6" x 9." One page, complete. Paper is very clean and intact. There is a slight bit of chipping at the top and bottom edge and one minuscule chip on the right edge. A Fine copy. This is an announcement for a series of sermons by Pastor William Henry Mumper (1885-1975). The church Pastor Mumper was to speak at was located at the corner of Melrose and Berendo Streets in Los Angeles, California and was called the Melrose Methodist Episcopal Church. The church was built in 1913 and was open until 1925 when it moved to a new location under the name, Rosewood United Methodist Episcopal Church. The announcement says services are at 7:30 p. m. and that there will be fifteen minutes of song. At the bottom is the following text: "Good Music, Good Fellowship, Good Preaching." A black and white reprinted portrait photograph of Mumper is also included. Every Sunday, from November 1 to November 29, Mumper will give the following sermons: "Looking Through the Lenses of the Soul," "Religion, What is It. Have You Got It?," "A Saved Soul But a Lost Life," "What is the Purpose of the Bible," and "Stop, Look and Listen.". Poster. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine.
