the book is signed and warmly inscribed by the author. there is also a note on the front end page in Murray's hand referring to page 56 "Swinging the Blues" there is some underlining and annotation in the text. some could be the author's as it is in the same black ink. one other inscription on the front end page also referring to a passage in the book. the boards are worn and there is a small tear in the boards at the top of the spine. the binding is strong.
