Fold-out envelope has a black and beige illustration on the front with portraits of Abraham Lincoln, George Meade, and Robert E. Lee. Pamphlet is pristine and undamaged; a fine copy. Joseph Benjamin Oakleaf, a "Big Five" collector of Lincoln memorabilia, writes on the historical context of the Battle of Gettysburg and the connections between Abraham Lincoln, General Meade, and Robert E. Lee. In particular, Oakleaf discusses a letter Lincoln wrote, but never sent, to General Meade.
