Original broadside printed in black ink on thick gray paper. Black-and-white bust portrait photograph of William Gibbs McAdoo featured at center. No date, circa 1924. 9" x 12." Small imprint of "Allied Printing, Chattanooga; Trades Council; Union Label" in lower-left corner. Broadside is very clean and intact overall but has some darkening throughout, slight foxing or discoloration at top, and a few bumps at the edges and corners (largest being a crease in the lower-left corner). A Very Good copy. A promotional broadside supporting the bid of William Gibb McAdoo for U.S. President in his 1924. William Gibbs McAdoo (1863-1941) was an American lawyer and politician. He played a pivotal role in the administration of President Woodrow Wilson, his father-in-law. McAdoo served in Wilson's Cabinet as Secretary of the Treasury from 1913-1918 and represented California as a U.S. Senator from 1933-1938. During his 1924 campaign, McAdoo ran under the Democratic Party, but the Democratic National Committee (DNC) elected John W. Davis as the Democratic presidential nominee instead.. Poster.
