Backstrip is missing; lower board nearly detached. There is a list of errata on p. [155] and a "Catalogue of Botanical Works for sale by Hezekiah Howe, New-Haven" on pp. [157-158]. The second edition, issued in 1819, lists Amos Eaton as translator of this work, Pierre Bulliard's Dictionnaire elementaire de botanique which was revised by L.- C. Richard in 1799.
