Front free endpaper and fly leaf are detached and laid-in. Signature excised on contents page and p. 1, with slight loss to text on p. 2. Bookblock tight but with occasional nicks to page edges. Folding plate somewhat foxed. Offered as is. Part I deals with the plague, the second part with yellow fever, and with an appendix comprised of extracts from Thucydides through Aiken and Jebb.
