Signature of William Kissam Vanderbilt in pencil on white paper card. Card is folded in half. Signed, "W. K. Vanderbilt," on left half of card. Black-and-white engraved portrait of Vanderbilt on right half of card. No date, circa 1890s-1900s. 6 3/4" x 3 3/4." Signature is very clean and intact. Card is clean and intact except for a few faint smudges, light age toning, and minuscule wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. William Kissam "Willie" Vanderbilt (1849-1920) was an American businessman, philanthropist, horse breeder, and yachtsman. Willie was the third of eight children born to Maria Louisa Kissam (1821-1896) and William Henry Vanderbilt (1821-1885). Willie's grandfather was Cornelius "Commodore" Vanderbilt (1794-1877), a railroad magnate and patriarch of the wealthy Vanderbilt family.
