Houbraken, one folding city plan of Leiden, and 43 folding plates (each measuring 8 by 9 1/2 inches) mostly by Fokke, showing battles, sieges, executions, explosions, etc., all beautifully engraved on copper. Each volume is bound together with a separate volume of index and notes, dating variously from 1790-1796. With four additional volumes, dated 1789-1790, which take up the history from 1752 to 1774. Internally fine, in intact quarter-leather bindings with marbled boards, with an Institutional bookplate (cancelled) in each volume. The leather is quite dried out, with portions of spine missing on many volumes. Together with: Vaderlansche Historie.
