The Man in the Moon and his little Moon Dog lead a quiet,untroubled life together. . . until hordes of holiday-makers descend, bringing seven shades of trouble to the moon's tranquil beaches and silvery gardens. But little moon Dog is fascinated by the chattering,teasing visitors,who pull faces at him through the window and beckon him out to play. . . and gradually,it seems little Moon Dog is starting to forget about his kind old master altogether. . . As the Man in the Moon dozed in his comfortable chair,little Moon Dog sneaked out of the back door,and into BAD company. . . The first fairy ever encountered by the Illustrator was Miss Mint,of the Flying Mints Aerial artists Extraordinaire.She tiptoed onto a bee's velvet shoulders and swooped about in the air.Miss Mint was harmless and charming - typical of most fairy folk. But BEWARE of the fairies who appear in this book - they are NOT harmless or charming in any way. Helen Ward,the author thinks it is important to know that fairies make very unreliable friends.They should be avoided in the same way you would avoid poisonous snakes and long drops. Blue,who is an Earth dog,thinks you should know that fairies are VERY crunchy! Wayne Anderson was born in England in 1946.Leaving school at 15 he went to Leicester College of Art,spending 4 years studying graphic design.He then went to London spending 5 years working freelance.
